An Evening with Elvira K. Gonzalez at Joe A. Guerra Laredo Public Library requires a Notice of Filming and Recording, as well as an Anti-harassment Policy and we believe it is important to protect the rights and safety of both participants and organizers.

 

Notice of Filming and Recording

By entering the Joe Guerra Public Library at 1120 E Calton Rd, Laredo, TX 78041, you are entering an area where photography, audio, and video recording may occur. By entering the event premises, you consent to photography, audio, and/or video recording and its/their release, publication, exhibition, or reproduction to be used for an untitled documentary film and/or publicity and promotional purposes, webcasts and telecasts, advertising, inclusion on websites, social media, or any other purpose by Existential Co. and its affiliates and representatives. Images, photos and/or videos may be used to promote similar Writers Inkubator or Existential Co. events in the future, highlight the event, and exhibit the capabilities of Writers Inkubator and/or Existential Co. You release Existential Co. its officers and employees, and each and all persons involved from any liability connected with the taking, recording, digitizing, or publication and use of interviews, photographs, computer images, video and/or or sound recordings.

By entering the event premises, you waive all rights you may have to any claims for payment or royalties in connection with any use, exhibition, streaming, webcasting, televising, or other publication of these materials, regardless of the purpose or sponsoring of such use, exhibiting, broadcasting, webcasting, or other publication irrespective of whether a fee for admission or sponsorship is charged. You also waive any right to inspect or approve any photo, video, or audio recording taken by Existential Co., Writers Inkubator, or the person or entity designated to do so by Existential Co.

Anti-harassment policy

The library is committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment for all patrons and members of the community. Any form of harassment, including but not limited to verbal, physical, and sexual harassment, will not be tolerated at any event hosted by the library.

Harassment includes any behavior that creates an intimidating, hostile, or offensive environment for others, or interferes with anyone’s ability to fully engage in the event. This includes making unwelcome advances, comments, or gestures, as well as displaying offensive materials.

Anyone found to be engaging in harassing behavior will be asked to leave the event immediately and may be subject to further consequences. If you witness or experience any form of harassment, please report it to a library staff member.

We strive to create a safe and respectful atmosphere where everyone can freely exchange ideas and enjoy the event. We ask that all attendees help us maintain this environment by treating others with kindness and respect. Thank you for your cooperation.
