Laredo Public Libraries brings you another amazing opportunity to meet a local author, Patricia Galvan.
The presentation that will be held on Saturday, October 22nd at 1 PM and will include book readings, book signing with purchased books, question/answer time with small gifts to children present during presentation, and free pictures with the book character!
“I am a Bilingual teacher of Mexican origin, born in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, a beautiful city in the north of Mexico where I studied pedagogy and natural sciences. I am the daughter of Guadalupe Olivares, a rural teacher, who always instilled in me my profession and the care with which a child should be treated so that he or she develops in an adequate learning environment. I emigrated to the United States and became certified as a bilingual educator where I have dedicated several years to education of preschool children. I have focused on increasing the level of reading in a fun and enjoyable way through books. Like this, children are able to flourish while they increase the development of interactive and social language. This is how the idea of ??writing my books was born. These books focus on educational skills according to the required school level, as well as provide educational support for family members so that they can find an easy way to help their children read. My books also aid teachers by allowing them to fascilitate the memorization of frequent words that the child needs to know at the end of each school year.” – Patricia Galvan
